Tube Shop · preorder
Reserve an early-release slot
Pay a deposit today. It locks your price and holds a slot in the first release. The balance is invoiced when 1.0 ships. Nothing is downloaded today, and this page does not promise a date.
The deal
Pricing announced soon
The deposit, the locked price and the list price are not published yet. Rather than show you a number that might move, this page shows none. Nothing can be charged in this state.

Deposit terms
- The deposit is charged today. It reserves one early-release license slot at the price quoted on the preorder page, and that price is recorded with the payment so it can be proved at invoice time.
- The deposit is credited in full toward that price. The balance is invoiced when 1.0 ships — not before.
- No ship date is promised. Tube Shop is pre-1.0. Nothing is downloaded today and no license key is issued today.
- The license is perpetual for the version that ships. The yearly updates plan is optional, is not part of this deposit, and is never added to it.
Unfinished — blocks payment
- TODO: the refund window and conditions for a deposit are not settled. Decide how long a deposit stays refundable, and whether it stays refundable once the licence key has been issued, then write it into /refund-policy. Both pages render the same array, so writing it once is enough.
- TODO: license scope is not settled — how many machines one license covers, and whether it covers both the Fusion add-in and the desktop app. Write it into the terms of service, then state it here. A buyer cannot agree to a license whose scope nobody has written down.
Full terms: refund policy. Read it before you pay. You should not have to leave this page to learn the terms, so the short version is above and the long version is one click away.
What you are reserving
Two hosts, one pipeline
A Fusion 360 add-in that cuts real copes into real bodies, and a standalone Design Studio for sketching tubes against 3D scans and STEP models with no Fusion running. Both call the same pipeline, so every file below matches from either host — except STEP and IGES, which the schedule flags on their own two rows.
- Cut listPDF
What the bandsaw operator holds. Every part with its developed length — the blank you cut before it goes in the bender.
- Bend sheetPDF
One tube per sheet, L/R/A rows in the order they are fed.
- L/R/A and XYZ bend tablesPDF
Every bent tube in the job on one sheet — the L/R/A rows, and the XYZ apex points that go with them. For checking the whole job at once instead of tube by tube.
- Cope wrap templatePDF
Printed at 1:1. Wrap it on the tube, scribe, cut.
- Nested G-codeNC
Parts packed on sticks and posted for your tube laser or rotary plasma.
- Flat / developed DXFDXF
The tube unrolled flat with its cope profiles, for cutting or for layout.
- STEPSTEP
Solid geometry, bent or developed. For the customer, the shop, or the next CAM seat. From the add-in it is the modeled body itself, copes already cut; from the desktop app it is built from the tube records.
- IGESIGS
Bent or developed, for the software and controllers that still want IGES. Same split as STEP: the add-in dumps the modeled body, the desktop app constructs it from the records.
- BOMPDF
Tube size, wall, material and total footage — what to order and how much of it.
- Setup sheetHTML
One sheet per stick, printable from the browser: stock length, kerf, utilisation, where each part sits, the cut order end to start, and the bend schedule for every tube on that stick.
What the deposit buys
- A slot in the early release, held in your name.
- Your price, locked at what this page quotes on the day you pay and recorded with the payment itself.
- A perpetual license for the version that ships. It does not stop working.
What it does not buy
- A download. Tube Shop is pre-1.0 — there is no build to give you today and no license key is issued today.
- A ship date. None is promised here, in the confirmation email, or in the Stripe receipt.
- A subscription. The deposit is a one-time charge and nothing recurring is set up by paying it.
Optional — not part of this deposit
Yearly updates plan
After 1.0 there will be an optional yearly plan for updates and new post-processors. It is not pre-selected, it is not bundled into this deposit, and you are not asked about it at checkout. Skip it and the version you bought keeps running exactly as it did the day it shipped. Its price is not published yet.
If it slips
The honest version
Software slips. Nobody here is going to pretend otherwise by posting a date and quietly moving it.
The balance is invoiced when 1.0 ships, so a slip costs you nothing further while you wait — there is no second charge until there is something to charge for.
Ask where it is whenever you want. Email kelly@apexdesign.store and you get a straight answer, not a status page.
Refunds are handled under the refund policy.
