Modular Jig System — Rev A.1

Scope

This documentation covers the Apex Design Modular Jig System for use on welding tables. It assumes familiarity with welding table fixturing, external clamps, and standard shop practices.

Kit contents

Each kit includes identical jig assemblies. The manual content is the same across kits, with kit name and quantity variations.

• Small Kit: 4 jig assemblies
• Medium Kit: 6 jig assemblies
• Large Kit: 10 jig assemblies

Jig assembly components

• Base
• Telescoping tube assembly
• End junction
• Arm

Degrees of freedom

• Linear adjustment via telescoping tubes
• Rotational adjustment via telescoping tubes
• Rotational adjustment at the arm ↔ end junction interface

Locking methods

• Telescoping clamp (locks linear and rotational tube adjustment)
• M8 jam nuts (lock arm rotation)

Materials

• Base, end junction, arm: DMLS-printed aluminum alloy
• Telescoping clamp: ABS plastic
• Tubes: aluminum
• Hardware: steel

Constraints

• No clamp-mounted configuration is supported.
• External welding table clamps are not included.

External clamps provide all clamping force and are required for operation.
